About the Panel

The Panel on Gamma and Electron Irradiation known as The Irradiation Panel, it is a group of experts with diverse interests in radiation processing.

It is NOT a trade association. Its membership comprises both suppliers and users of irradiated products and radiation services, regulatory bodies and academia.

It provides members with the opportunity to meet and discuss topics covering radiation processing and to influence events via professional and expert opinion.


How do members contribute?

Meetings once every 4 months, in which members discuss matters relating to all aspects of electron beam and gamma radiation processing.

Specialist Working Groups currently working in the fields of Microbiology, Plant Operation and Safety, and Dosimetry meet to discuss topics in depth and produce technical guidance notes, scientific comment on international standards and educational literature.

Expert Representative Duties Members with appropriate qualifications and experience represent The Irradiation Panel at meetings and working groups such as ISO, BSI, CEN and IAEA.
