Any organisation with active involvement in The Irradiation Panel’s objectives. At the Panel’s discretion membership is also open to individuals with the relevant technical qualifications and experience. The Irradiation Panel seeks to encourage a wide membership, particularly from the European radiation processing community.
Meetings
Meeting twice per year, members discuss matters relating to all aspects of Panel Business including electron beam, x-ray and gamma radiation processing. Meetings are held at venues around the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe – hosted by members. Meetings of the Working Groups take place at intervals determined by the level of current activity.
Membership
There are three primary categories of membership
Industrial
Organisations with electron beam or gamma irradiation facilities, or directly involved in the manufacture or supply of radiation processing equipment or isotopes.
Organisations actively employing radiation processing as part of their manufacturing process.
Corporate
Organisations in the Public Sector having particular responsibilities which impact upon radiation processing
Individual
Individuals with relevant experience and an active interest in the objectives of the Panel
Regular meeting attendance is a condition of Panel membership. Panel Members are free to nominate a deputy to attend meetings in their place and Panel Members are free to attend meetings of the Working Groups. At General Meetings of the Panel it is required that Panel Members who cannot attend nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf in order that the constitutional conditions for quorum can be met.
Application for membership
Annual membership costs GBP420. For this subscription the member organisation receives voting rights for one representative member but the liberty to send multiple representatives to Working Group Meetings according to specific technical interests. To request an application form please contact us.
