About Us

The Irradiation Panel is a volunteer-led organisation run by industry experts to support the needs of the radiation processing industry.

About the Panel

The Panel is guided by its officers and working group leads. Administrative, financial, and communications support is provided by experienced contractors, allowing the core team to concentrate on technical and scientific initiatives that support members.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a network for members of the radiation processing community. Through this network, the Panel supports efforts to address key challenges in advancing radiation processing, partners with regulatory authorities to standardise best practices and ensure the European and international perspectives are reflected in developing standards and guidance, fosters appreciation and understanding of new and emerging technologies, provides educational resources to support career development, and promotes the Panel’s profile globally.

We aim to be a practical, accessible network that supports the progress of radiation processing and helps the community address challenges with modern, evidence based approaches. We collaborate with regulators, academics, manufacturers, laboratories and industry partners to align standards and guidance, champion accelerator based technologies, and provide learning resources that support professional growth.
